SDesk Hardware Requirements

These are the requirements your computer has to meet to run SDesk comfortably. Please note that these requirements may be higher depending on what you do with your computer – for heavy workloads like 3D CGI, VFX, AI, or even just demanding games – you may even need to quadruple these requirements.

Minimum Requirements

SDesk needs at least 4GB of RAM to run smoothly. It may sometimes run on computers with much less than this – but you will very likely encounter “Low RAM” errors extremely frequently – even for simple multitasking. We don’t consider this a sufficient experience.

Your computer should use a display with a resolution of at least 720p (1280×720).

You should have an HDD or SSD with at least 64GB of storage and your processor should have at least two cores and must support long mode.

Recommended Requirements

To have an enjoyable, reasonably one-size-fits-all computing experience with SDesk – we recommend at least 6GB of modern RAM and a quad-core processor.

We also recommend an SSD with at least 128GB of storage and a display with a resolution of at least 1080p (1920×1080).

Supported Computers

All x86_64 Windows PCs and Linux computers are supported by SDesk. You may need to install additional drivers depending on your machine and/or peripherals.

Chromebooks are not officially supported.
